Abstract
This study is an extension of John’s research of managing design in Chinese manufacturing industry and focuses on their design awareness. Two sets of factors about design awareness and support for design are utilized for questionnaire survey. The result introduces the levels of design awareness in the firms and its influence in design implementation and management.
