Abstract

Following on from the summary report on the DDR4 event on the OGM day in Issue 6, included here are the Award Addresses and speeches made at the Evening Dinner. Professor Nigel Cross made addresses for a Design Studies Award to Professor Rivka Oxman and a DRS Lifetime Achievement Award to John Chris Jones. These are included in this issue along with the transcript of speeches of Rivka and John Chris. There is a contribution from a Guest DRS member -Dr Sebastian Macmillan, a past Chair of the Society, who gave the address on behalf of the Society for a Lifetime Achievement Award to Professor Bruce Archer. A transcript of Bruce’s speech is here too. Due to space this issue has only one report from an ICM of Council -Dr Christopher Nemeth of the USA – his last for the QCR.
