Abstract

Interdisciplinary design thinking education often faces challenges in communication, problem framing, and team alignment, especially under flipped-classroom models. This paper introduces DThinkLab, a structured visual collaboration tool designed to support grounding, clarification, and reflection in team- based design thinking projects. Drawing from prior research and user interviews, the tool integrates step-based templates, role-based contributions, and AI-driven prompts to scaffold reasoning and mutual understanding. A planned pilot in university-level courses will test its effectiveness in addressing communication gaps and supporting educator facilitation.
