Abstract

Although several authors have urged us over the years in the importance of ethics in the field of design, it is still less than common for design schools to introduce ‘ethics’ as part of the curriculum, beisides the possible conversation of ethical practice that could emerge during studio or workshop classes. This paper explores two experiences including ethics as a main topic of education for designers in two different design schools, and the different results obtained during the process.

Teaching the ethical responsibility as a foundation for designers
