Abstract

The talk will focus on OCAD University Faculty of Design’s ethos of Respectful Design and its relationship to the University’s ongoing processes to decolonize art and design education. It will place Respectful Design in the context of Canada’s colonial practices and the adoption of the recommendations from the 2015 Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
